Defense Force: Heroes by The Hour Chap 12

Tommy and Dianna were silently playing their PSPs when Tabitha and Abby returned.
“Wow they broke from the debating,” Abby whispered into Tabitha's ear. Tabitha couldn't help but giggle a bit, pulling her friends away from their games.
“What's so funny?” Tommy asked.
“Oh nothing. Just the fact you caught super powers!”
“What?” Tommy laughed at the idea.
“It's true,” Abby said turning the television on, “hey they're near downtown. Maybe they busted the punks who hurt ya Bit?” She turned up the news cast.
“We are here in Downtown San Francisco where a protest has turned into a full scale riot!” The reporter said as the background displayed many scenes of chaos. Windows being smashed, cars being toppled. “Police have arrived on scene, in riot gear, however…” That is when a huge missile hit the ground in front of the officers.
“Holy shit,” the quartet of teens said in unison.
“The police are out gunned literally. The rioters are armored with military weapons. I am not sure if it is safe to report!” The reporter’s sign off was drowned out by heavy gun fire. One of Tabitha’s phones began to ring off the hook.
“Hello, thank you for calling Defense Force; we’re your heroes by the hour.” She said answering it. “Yes we did happen to be watching the news. Yes Mr. Mayor we will send people right away.” Tabitha looked at Abby and Dianna. “Suit up we’ve got a riot to stop.” Tabitha pushed a few buttons on a console and out popped tubes with Abby and Dianna’s costumes.
“Good thing I made spares,” Dianna said before putting her’s on in the blink of an eye.
“Yeah,” Abby agreed quickly trading her current outfit in for the one she wears under the name Emerald Striker. Tabitha began to slip into her armor. “Bit what are you doing?”
“Hey those punks attacked me, and if the cops can’t stop them, I want payback.” She said clipping the newly made gun onto her leg.
“I’m coming to!” Tommy chimed in.
“Uh, no, no, you’re not. I’m only letting Bit come ‘cause she has armor.” Abby told him as she slipped her over shirt on.
“Hold on a second,” Tommy’s eyes began to sparkle.
“Um, did you swap eyes with Edward Cullen?” Dianna asked noticing the phenomena.
“No.” Tommy said curtly as rocks began to fly onto him forming a protective cover, and a rock helmet. “Now can I come, Abs?”
“Sigh, we'll take my car. I just had it cleaned too Tommy, so that armor better work otherwise I am making you watch ponies after cleaning my car with a toothbrush!”
